It's time for a change

Good evening all, as you can tell from the lack of updates on my blog my time has been spent elsewhere. The blog is still a very important to me and reading the others blogs is very enjoyable, I am committed to my blog but not as much for the last few months. This is not radio related at all and is by no means an advertisement. Julie and have decided to work on our overall health and we are under going a lifestyle change. We have decided to eat more of a plant based diet and move away from the processed food (or yummy food) We both have been very preoccupied with reading and research to make sure what we end up with  the best fit for our lifestyle. We have decided to start our journey by juicing to plain old cleaning out our systems. Then its largely a plant based diet with some juicing on the side. So this has kept me very busy and away from positing in my blog. We both hope to loose some pounds and overall eat and get healthy. So the blog is not gone by the way side I'm just getting my health back on track.

Hello Mike, good to hear this. My wife and I are also always looking for the best and healthy food available. That's not always easy as even plants have been sprayed with all kind of fertilizers and poison. In summer we try to grow some ourself in the garden. But in winter you have to buy some. Don't forget if you want to loose some pounds it doesn't always matter what you eat but how much you eat. Actually we should eat just enough to stay alive. But we are all wealthy and food is available, so it's easy to eat too much. Good luck. 73, Bas

Wise move, Mike. My YL and I are not vegetarians but we consume as much bio as is available. Our veggies are purchased from a pesticide-free produce farmer at the local open-air market. Meat consumption is minimal. Certain species of fish are avoided. Someone once told us, the best thing is to go to bed at night s-l-i-g-h-t-l-y hungry. Good luck to you both. Hey, be as miserly with the calories as good QRPers are with the watts. 73 Dick.

Good evening Bas, nice to hear from you and yes the plants this way are sprayed as well. I do the best at washing them off and try to get organic that say not sprays were used. But I still wash them as well. I am cutting back with small portions even with the plants and it seems to be working….BUT….I have to keep it up!
Have a great week Bas

Hello Dick, always good to hear from you and we too are not going full out vegetarian but most of our eating will be plant based. We have a farmers market just steps away from where we live and we will be going there once they open in the spring. I am going to be a QRP calorie counter!
Have a nice week
Mike
