BUT Yaesu has not even hinted about this rig...nothing at Dayton....and well check out the Icom IC-7000........seems to me the FT-817 has had a photo shop crop job done to it! What do you think is the the FT-818 fact or fiction?

I agree with your opinion of it being a crop of the icom 7000 display... However saying that it does make the Icom Display look good being in a Yaesu shell...

Good evening Bob, thanks for taking the time to comment. It would be good for Yaesu to up date it's QRP rig. It's almost over due.....maybe they will surprise us at Dayton this year.
Hi Mike,
Sure is a hoax. I read something on G3XBM blog, and it's a nice photoshop photo. Have a nice weekend, 73 Paul
Good morning Paul, I too read G3XBM's blog and there are a few others out there regarding this rig....I agree it is a nice photoshop job. But having said that maybe Yaesu is up to something.
Yep, I remember G3XBM's post as well. He did get a lot of replies on that post. Probabely one of the new Chinese manufacturers will walk away with this idea. They would have a hit for shure...

Yes Bas they have been known to do that...
Very clever...close but no cigar.
Good morning Razvan, yes it would seem that finally is the case. WOW this post was from 2012 it sure has taken them a long time to go from rumour to reality!
