It seemed to be find then it was back up to the funny SWR. It really has not cooled down here at night to see if it is just from the heat.VE9KK https://www.blogger.com/profile/04720839744779758420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2968254002071870786.post-79554076385544348512011-07-09T08:22:09.285-04:002011-07-09T08:22:09.285-04:00Hi Mike,

The ATU will tune it out at the rig, but of course you have some extra (minor) loss on the coax, which I take it is a very short run anyway. Good luck in the contest!Casey Bahrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01638230726171327005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2968254002071870786.post-82479768510567787822011-07-08T06:09:21.018-04:002011-07-08T06:09:21.018-04:00Good morning Dick, that is a very interesting idea...Good morning Dick, that is a very interesting idea for sure and as I think about things I just may leave the antenna alone and see what happens when the cooler weather comes along. I have the tuner in the K3 that handles the mismatch no problem.

Hi Paul, yes the attic is very dry other than the humidity that is in the air are muggy days. Other than that it is very dry up thereVE9KK https://www.blogger.com/profile/04720839744779758420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2968254002071870786.post-34863143796765259232011-07-08T02:08:33.397-04:002011-07-08T02:08:33.397-04:00Hi Mike, that's a strange phenomena. I wonder if the heat might have some affect on those shingles just above your wire. "Metal" shrinks in the cold and expands in the heat.

Just a mad thought.Dickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10984094559146508871noreply@blogger.com
